Secondly I wish to express the School's gratitude to the Wade Shire Council, the P&C, the Officers of the Department of Agriculture and the W.C & I.C and the business community for the many kindnesses and very real help given to the school through the year. I know that they will feel well rewarded if our boys and girls determine to make the most of the opportunities which these friends of the School help to provide and to maintain and, indeed, enhance the School's traditions and its reputation as one of Griffith's proudest possessions.

THE WIND
By Colleen Anderson (Yr 1A)
The wind whispered in the gum tree's ear,
I must have one of your boughs, I fear.
The gum tree answered, don't you dare!
And the wind sneered as it danced away,
I'll see you again some other day.
