In scholarship, in sport, in community service and in your social and cultural activities you have achieved levels of which we can all be proud. See that you maintain and, indeed, enhance that record and continue to justify the reputation your School enjoys in your community and in areas far beyond Griffith. That is no easy task for it depends on full co-operation between staff, parents and pupils; your determination to avail yourselves of the greater educational opportunities being given under the new system; and your readiness to give loyal service in some of the many avenues open to you.
When you walk for the last time through the school gates, may you all find in the wider world beyond the positions that suit your abilities and interests. May you find the satisfaction that comes from helping to make your community a better place to live in!
Farewell, GHS! I thank you warmly staff and pupils alike, for all the help and joy you have given me.

MIRACLE
By C. Anderson (Yr 5)
When God created miracles,
The greatest one of all,
Was the new born babe,
So very frail and small.
It was indeed a miracle
That moulded that small form,
For what else could have made
The baby newly born.
So tiny yet so perfect
In every little part,
From the fragile helpless limbs
To the pure, perfect heart.
